The Difference Between Then and Than

Today, children, we’re going to learn the difference between ‘then’ and ‘than’. I admit that I am no master of grammar, but I do manage to hit the low hanging fruit. One thing that drives me up the wall is that so many people don’t seem to know the difference between ‘then’ and ‘than’.
Then - Used to sequence and often a sentence connector. Ex- I would rather go to the movie then the restaurant. That sentence means that you would like to go to the movie FIRST and after that go to the restaurant.
Than - Used for comparison. Ex - I would rather go to the movie than the restaurant. That sentence means you would prefer to go to the movie instead of the restaurant.
